ABOUT

Bryant Bronson, RA
LEED AP BD+C
I am a registered architect with over fifteen years of experience in a range of design, construction, and planning projects.
I started METICULUM as a means to provide visionary architecture, design, planning, and preservation services in Missoula and the Bitterroot Valley. My fascination with the built environment and exploration of the many ways designed space impacts our lives is manifested through intelligent, efficient, and impactful architecture.
After practicing for eight years in Seattle, I've relocated to Montana to pursue my interest in historic preservation and rustic materiality. Prior to that, I was a United States Naval officer overseeing planning and construction efforts in Naples, Italy and various locations within the Horn of Africa.
When I'm not photographing or reading about old buildings, I enjoy spending time with my family: sailing, reading, sketching, and problem-solving with my kids.
I'm licensed in the sates of Montana and Washington.
Montana Architecture License No. 17807
Washington Architecture License No. 11999
METICULUM
The act of design relies upon a meticulous exercise and pairing of exactitude with controlled chaos, allowing each to play off the other. METICULUM embodies the care focused on each element of design: to understand what is at stake in every decision and to enact the effective reconciliation of discipline and detail.
Through METICULUM, I provide thoughtful architectural consulting, design services, and preservation guidance aimed at helping clients make informed decisions which balance function, budget, and aesthetics. I believe there are "no small decisions" in architecture, and my approach is grounded in a curriculum of care - a deliberate, attentive process that respects every detail.
Neologism; Noun
Derived from the Latin roots
"meticulōsus" (cautious, careful)
"curriculum" (a course or path)
